Unfortunately many of the state projects were started and then abandoned.

•  Aerial Hunting of Wolves:

I am against aerial hunting of wolves as a sport. I will have the Alaska Department of Fish and Game personnel manage them in areas when they are over populated, but even then, they shouldn’t be hunted from the air unless needed to be.

Listen to our Alaskans: On August 26, 2008 Alaskans voted for a third time on this issue. (Aerial Hunting of Wolves). More than 70,000 Alaskans voted to stop private aerial hunting of wolves and bears and to limit the practice to Alaska Department of Fish and Game personnel only.

Alaska is home to the largest remaining population of gray wolves in the United States.
