2010 Governor of Alaska Campaign
Sam Little/Singin Sam Republican
The State of Alaska is "The Great Land" and freedom is still in abundance.
Unfortunately many of the state projects were started and then abandoned.
An Alaska Gas Line:
5-2-10
The Alaska Gas Line does need to get done! Let's put Alaska "FIRST" and make it all Alaskan. We need to make up our mind and move forward for the Alaska people.
3-28-10
I am in support on the "All Alaskan Denali Gas Line" 100%! This will run from Prudhoe Bay, to Valdez bringing many jobs to Alaskans. We need to support BP and Conoco Phillips for all the work they have created for Alaskans through the years. Help show your support!
2-1-10
500 Million (Authorized by the Government of Alaska) has already been tied up into the research of the Alaska Gas Line. This money went to a Canadian Firm to research the project. Why is the Government spending that much money on a project that is not benefiting Alaskans? If the Alaska Gas Line goes through Canada, there will not be any work for the Alaska People. By going through Canada, Canadians will get the work. We want to protect the labor rights of this project to the US/Alaskan workers.
With keeping the work in Alaska, we can build the main gas line down to Valdez. We can look at the options to building smaller lines from Glennallen to Anchorage, or even truck the gas from Glennallen to areas around Alaska.
The question is what does Alaska want? Why would we want to take jobs away from the Alaska People? Denali, the pipeline company created by BP and Conoco Phillips, is planning to file document required to hold an open season. They are looking to start in July, and it will run for 90 days.

It needs a commission of qualified people that can work with oil companies and who would also understand construction in Alaska. Further more a gasline has been promised by many politicians running for office for the last 30 years. Several million dollars was given out to study a pipeline through Canada and so far it has all fizzled.
The high price of gasoline in Alaska. WHY? We need to find out why our refineries in Alaska cannot make gasoline for Alaskans. The price of gasoline in Alaska is ninety cents to a dollar higher than anywhere else in the country.
