2010 Governor of Alaska Campaign

The State of Alaska is "The Great Land" and freedom is still in abundance.
Unfortunately many of the state projects were started and then abandoned.
It has been the capital of Alaska since 1906, when the government of the then-Alaska Territory was moved from Sitka.

Gold Rush 1880 - Joe Juneau and Richard Harris strike gold and stake their claim. Chief Kowee plays a key role in this discovery. Juneau becomes the first new town in America’s Alaska.
Alaska Statehood January 3, 1959 - President Dwight D. Eisenhower signs the Alaska Statehood Proclamation, officially welcoming Alaska into the Union as the 49th and largest state.
January 26, 1959 – The first Alaska State Legislature convenes in Juneau, Alaska’s Capital City.
Juneau, Alaska- The History and Heart of Alaska. Since 1906, Juneau has been the capital of Alaska. With all its history, and nature it brings to Alaska, why would we want to move the capital? It doesn’t make sense to move it when our economy is in such sad shape. A new cancer clinic or some other people service project would make a lot more sense. This is something the people of Alaska should vote on and go from there.
